question:(In the snowfields of Narshe Cliffs…) Natsuki: “Terra, I know Narshe is cold and all, but this place is FREEZING! Couldn’t you have that ‘Ifrit’ guy to warm this place up?!” Terra: “If only it were that simple, Natsuki. Summoning Ifrit here might cause more problems than it would solve. These cliffs are covered in snow and ice, stable for now, but potentially dangerous if melted. Additionally, calling upon an esper like Ifrit requires a great deal of magical energy and control — it’s not something I can do lightly.” Natsuki: “So, we’ll just have to keep shivering through this frozen wasteland, then? Great. I didn’t sign up for this when I joined the Returners.” Terra: “I’m sorry, Natsuki. I’ll do what I can to shield us from the wind, but we must press on-” ???: (distant roaring) Natsuki: “What was that?!” Terra: “That sound…it’s not one I recognize. Everyone, stay alert. There might be creatures around that we’ve not encountered before. Narshe’s wildlife can be unpredictable, especially when disturbed.” (The group takes a defensive stance, scanning the horizon for any signs of movement or threat.) Natsuki: “Did it sound like that creature could be a threat to us?” Terra: “It’s hard to say. Many beasts here would rather avoid humans, but some might see us as intruders—or worse, as prey. Keep your eyes open and stay close.” (The group moves cautiously forward, the sound of the distant roaring echoing off the cliffs. Suddenly, a small reptilian creature darts around them - before climbing on a large creature incased in ice; the esper Valigarmanda. Whatever the reptilian creature is; it must’ve frozen the esper.) Natsuki: “Is that…Terra, is that an esper?” Terra: “Yes, it’s Valigarmanda, the triad esper. It’s been encased in ice, even after the War of the Magi.” Natsuki: “And that little thing…how did it freeze such a powerful being?”
answer:Terra: "It's not likely that creature alone could have subdued Valigarmanda. Espers are immensely powerful beings, and what we're seeing might be the result of some other force, or perhaps Valigarmanda encased itself in ice to recuperate or to protect itself from some kind of threat." Natsuki: "You mean it might have done this to itself? Why would it do that?" Terra: "Espers have their own reasons, sometimes beyond our understanding. It could be a form of self-preservation from enemies, a voluntary stasis until it senses it is needed again, or perhaps a repercussion from a battle long past. Nevertheless, seeing it like this...it's unsettling." Natsuki: "Can we free it, or should we even? I mean, what if it's not happy to see us?" Terra: "Disturbing Valigarmanda might be dangerous, but it could also be in need of our help. We need to consider our next course of action carefully. Espers can be allies, but if we provoke one unintentionally, it could mean disaster." (Suddenly, the ice encasing Valigarmanda begins to crack, glowing with energy as the esper starts to awaken from its enforced slumber.) Natsuki: "Terra! It's waking up!" Terra: "Stand back! Espers can be disoriented and volatile upon waking, especially after such a long confinement. We need to be ready for anything." (The group prepares for the possibility of having to either defend themselves or communicate with Valigarmanda. The situation is precarious, and the actions they choose to take could have significant consequences for their relationship with the mysterious and powerful creature.)

That’s the Ice Dragon - one of the eight legendary dragons.”
answer:Terra: "The Ice Dragon is extremely powerful and must have caught Valigarmanda off guard. The fact that it managed to encase an esper in ice like this is no small feat. We should be extremely cautious." Natsuki: "Legendary dragons, huh? And I thought dealing with the Empire was complicated. What should we do now?" Terra: "Approaching the dragon would be too dangerous. Our best course of action is to avoid confrontation if possible. We need to find another path and get to Narshe without disturbing it." Natsuki: "Got it. I just hope we don't run into any more 'surprises' along the way." (The group carefully navigates around the Ice Dragon, taking pains not to draw its attention. Though it remains alert and watchful, they manage to pass by without incident and continue on their journey through the snow-covered cliffs of Narshe.)

answer:Terra: “Each dragon has power that rivals that of the espers themselves. They were sealed away long ago because their power was too great to be left unchecked. If it’s been released somehow, this could be disastrous.” Natsuki: “Then what do we do? Fight it? That sounds kind of insane, to go up against a legendary dragon!” Terra: “It is not a decision to be made lightly. If we can avoid conflict, we should. But if the Ice Dragon threatens our mission or the lives of the people of Narshe, we may have no choice. The Returners can’t ignore such a threat.” Natsuki: “There must be another way to deal with it... Can't we reseal it or something?” Terra: “Resealing it would require immense power, perhaps more than we have at our disposal. However, we must find a solution that doesn't involve destruction if possible. The balance of nature is delicate, and we must tread carefully.” (The distant roar is heard once again, closer this time.) Terra: “For now, our priority is to protect Valigarmanda and ourselves. We should approach with caution, learn what we can, and avoid confrontation until we know more.” Natsuki: “All right, I'm with you. Let's be smart about this. Not every problem is solved with a fight, I guess.” (The group continues forward, keeping their guard up as they try to find a way to deal with the Ice Dragon and save the trapped esper Valigarmanda. They know the actions they take could have far-reaching consequences for the balance between humans and magic in their world.)
